Well apparently it's a done deal - however I think they're being quite optimistic if they think that it'll be opened next year.

As for the theme park itself, it won't be the same as the original. The original was good with all those wacky rides etc, but the layout of the park itself also plays a big part in the experience.

Jamberoo is a great theme park, best water slides and the toboggan and chair lift up the mountain is pretty cool too.

looks like it's going to be slightly similar to what Disney had planned for the inner west many years ago, but with more roller coasters and shit

He's been claiming "its a done deal" and "its gonna happen" for the past decade odd.

Facebook page hasn't been updated in several years now, and the company that are financial "backers" haven't updated their website since 2016, and it looks like it was done in Frontpage 98. This from a so called billion dollar plus petroleum company.

Just finished watching Lost Cities with Albert Lin which was actually really good. It's only 6 episodes odd, but he explores completely different areas of the globe, reconstructing and rediscovering lost cities associated with major landmarks using technology.

Started watching Lost Cities of the Amazon where they use a similar approach (LIDAR scanning large areas with helicopters) in order to remove the ground cover and see any tracks, trails, and ground formations in undergrowth. Seems to be it's making huge leaps forwards for archeologists because they can easily see what areas now warrant furthur investigation, without wasting time searching on foot first.

Also just finished Paul Hollywood Eats Japan (3 part series), whre he follows the food culture of the Japanese.

Last but not least

My favourite Hobo, Stobe The Hobo.. Would have loved to have cruised the rails with this gentleman, stopping at random towns for a beer and slice of pizza and a camp out... tbh I'd probably hate most of it, but it would be an awesome way to experience the American country side

Check out Hostile Planet (narated/hosted by Bear Grylls). The cinematography and footage captured and how its presented is absolutely brilliant and every bit as awesome as a David Attenborough documentary.

Theres like 6 episodes and each one focuses on an area and the animals that live there (e.g Mountains, Oceans, Grasslands, Deserts, Jungles, Polar), and each episode is 45 minutes.

This one is quite fascinating

Dark Days is a 2000 American documentary film directed, produced and photographed by the English documentarian Marc Singer. It follows a group of people living in an abandoned section of the New York City Subway system, more specifically the area of Freedom Tunnel.

Been working my way through Nazi Megastructures at the moment. Interesting documentary, and the way its presented (focussing on one person from that era/megastructure) is quite clever.

But one thing I find myself wondering every single episode is "how the hell did you afford to build all this crazy shit". The ideas were so wacky and yet enginering wise so far ahead of their time its crazy.

Been working my way through a lot of documentaries lately. Was watching one the other day "BBC Breakthrough - Fixing a Broken Heart", where they showcased the latest technology and cell growing for repairing damaged heart muscles. Was pretty amazing.

it's pretty crazy to think that with all the advancements in technology that we've seen over the last 100 years or so that humanity is at a point where we know now that most things are possible, it's just a matter of time.. will have to geez that one

It is the world's most mysterious manuscript. A book, written by an unknown author, illustrated with pictures that are as bizarre as they are puzzling -- and written in a language that even the best cryptographers have been unable to decode. No wonder that this script even has a part in Dan Brown's latest bestseller "The Lost Symbol".

john Mcafee's life is like something from a Hollywood script. Absolute madman

excerpt from coinbureau.com: "John McAfee’s story is so outlandish that it’s often hard to believe. It involves money, drugs – lots of them – guns, women, Bitcoin, multiple spells in jail and two attempts to become president. It’s often said of larger-than-life characters that if they didn’t exist then someone would have to invent them. If someone had tried to invent John McAfee, they’d have been laughed out of town". https://www.coinbureau.com/analysis/john-mcafee-story/
