they've gotta do something because although some of these issues might not seem like a big deal they can have a huge impact as far as sponsors and everything is concerned

There should be a three strikes clause in their contracts first and second breach fines and suspensions and the third time they are out tear up their contracts and no other team can pick them up . May seem harsh but a single breach in other work places can see you sacked but breaching three times is just sticking their fingers up with attitude and there is no place in league for this nonsense. Hardly setting good examples to the young kids is it.

The media are as much to blame as the playeres in many ways.

Imagine if the media broadcast half the shit that's gone on in years and decades gone by?

Stuff that is personal in nature should NEVER be aired or reported, as the Australian Press Council states that anything reported in the media needs to be in the publics best interest.
