New Canterbury coach Trent Barrett will dump his coaching staff.

In a shock development, the Bulldogs are expected to cut:
  • Current interim coach - Steve Georgallis
  • Head of high performance - Tony Ayoub
  • Strength and conditioning coach - Harry Harris
  • Strength and conditioning coach - Tony Grimaldi

They were all off contract, Barrett forced to either extend or move the club in another direction. He will bring in his own coaching and backroom team.

The development will rock Canterbury, although insiders insist change is needed with the club running last on the NRL competition table.

Gold Coast head of high performance, Dan Ferris, is expected to join Barrett at Belmore. Barrett and Ferris worked together at Manly.

and so the cleanout begins.

Hopefully our (lack of) skills coach fucks off too.

Seems like we are clearing out a lot of the potential dead wood to make way for new beginnings.

Barrett is putting a broom through the joint. If staff are being told they aren't wanted there are probably a whole bunch of players Barrett hasn't called either.

As shit as Broncos are now I'd be surprised if we avoid the spoon when so many are being told they are no longer required.

Because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
