Fuck yeah.
He has played and coached for us during arguably the most successful period in our clubs existence.
He has a wealth of experience and knowledge.
His arrogant attitude is what we need to combat the NRL and media bias against us.
He is the reason a lot of Panthers layers and juniors are where they're at in their career.
I've a great feeling about this.

He's the best mind in the business and he genuinely cares about the players from the grass roots to first grade.. just his mere presence at the club will boost morale.

Despite the fact Penrith are yet to win a grand final, they look set on and off the field for many good years to come.

What perfect timing with a host of quality signings set to arrive for the new season ahead, and not to mention that we're likely to make more quality signings on the back Gus's appointment.

I've been thinking about this a bit.
The potential for this era's Bullfrog in @PhilGould15 is there.
Dare speculate Bullfrog would be pleased with this too!

It's the best signing we have made this decade.. just about every team at the bottom of the ladder is there because their clubs are poorly run, just like ours has been for too long now.. While Gus is going to make a massive difference for us, I have to say John Khoury deserves a lot of credit for the work he is doing behind the scenes.

I wonder how Matt Burton is feeling.. I know he's a confident guy and doesn't seem as if much phases him but surely he has had at least some concerns that he was heading to a sinking ship lol

I wonder if the fact that the competition is stronger when the Dogs are doing well played into the decision.. not saying just the Dogs, but the likes of Manly and Dragons as well, the teams who used to always feature during September.. I think opposition fans miss hating us!

after hearing about the Phil Gould news, I bet some of the players coming to us who may have had reservations re our poor form this season , will be looking forward to having Phil Gould on board because he is so knowledgeable and has a good football brain and additionally he will stick it up the league and media where necessary .
