Another player, not a World beater, but COULD have gone better under decent coaching.

The combo with Smith was better than anything we had but no Derp Pay changes that promising development and Georgalis doesn't reinstate it. Why ffs? We had no better option after all.

Talk about coach killers. Our past 3 coaches have been player career killers.

I thought things would change under Steve and the first week he puts Meaney to fullback and I am thinking.. finally.. Steve is going to put the players where they belong.. but no.... he's now doing a Pay

Same. I was told (I haven't seen much of him before) that he's a very good coach in waiting but he's proven that to be BS.

He was good in the ISP as far as getting the most out of his team most weeks.. they were gritty... I mean we have been slightly better since he took over but still the same old shit.. Tolman on the 4th, Meaney on the wing, etc

Knights already have a stacked backline. That said he's versatile enough to play a few positions, albeit his defence won't help sell him though.

That try theother week though was all class and shows what hes capable of.

 

[Is it safe yet]

Hasn’t been a try scored around him in the last few weeks so maybe SG has worked on that.The left side and middle is where we are being let down,so good coaches would have taken notice of that.He had potential but Pay let him down thru lack of coaching and swapping his position.
I wish him well and know that he will be welcomed back to Newcastle division with open arms.Has nearly finished a Bachelor Degree in Economics so am assuming that will be his career path and not a sparky.

It's always going to be hard defensively in a team where your middles lose the battle each and every week.. we do so much more defence than almost every other team... I just would have loved to have seen what became of the Holland Smith combo if they were still paired to begin 2019

Problem is because we make far more tackles than other teams our backs shelf life is going to be reduced . Literally they are burning themselves out
