Do you guys know how we ended up with the same victory song as the Panthers? the explanation I've heard is that Frank the Tank brought it over..

I thought it was pretty much a generic one that's borrowed from other sports?

An almighty stink has broken out between Penrith and Canterbury fans – all over a team song stolen by the bloody Sydney Kings!

For years, supporters of the two NRL clubs have argued over ownership of the victory song, 'Are You Ready Ready'.

Penrith fans say ex-forward Frank Pritchard introduced it during his time at the Panthers, and then took it to Belmore when he joined the Bulldogs.

Canterbury fans are refusing to wear that, insisting the song was theirs from the get-go.

Others claim NFL franchise, the San Diego Chargers are the original 'owners'.

But now the shameless Kings have stoked the fire, stealing the tune to celebrate victories in the NBL.

"Personally we're happy to see our humble little team song making the cross-code switch!" Penrith said on its Facebook page.

"We’ll be cheering on the Sydney Kings and hoping they get plenty of chances to fine-tune it this season."

So who owns it and who wears it best?

I think the only difference is that the Panthers don't have the "having a party" bit at the end

Certainly is an interesting one.

I'd be suprised if the origins didn't date right back somewhere.

Ironically Panthers are the more successful team at the moment but I feel like we're more recognised for the song, probably because of that 2012-2014 period.
