The Bulldogs have continued their impressive build-up for 2022 by signing one of the most promising forwards in the Queensland Cup.

Canterbury has beaten half a dozen clubs to sign Josh Stuckey, a lanky 108kg edge back-rower from the Northern Pride.

Stuckey is currently sidelined due to COVID restrictions, which have seen the Queensland Cup placed on hold.

But after Wide World of Sports revealed he was looking for an NRL club last week and viewing video of the 23-year-old, the Bulldogs swooped.

Stuckey has been averaging close to 200 running metres per game in the Queensland Cup and recently scored a hat-trick of tries against Wynnum.

The tall back-rower should add considerable strike power to the Bulldogs pack in 2022 and beyond after signing a two-year deal.

He joins Josh Addo-Carr (Melbourne Storm), Matt Burton (Penrith Panthers), Matthew Dufty (St George Illawarra), Brent Naden (Penrith Panthers), Tevita Pangai Junior (Brisbane Broncos) and Paul Vaughan (St George Illawarra) as new faces at the club that is desperately trying to give itself a makeover after several years of disappointment.
