You can tell why Gus was a good coach that players listened to.. He is passionate but also has a way with words.. his little phrases, one-liners etc are simple but powerful, particularly on the back of his delivery. I reckon that way of using words would come in very handy at half times in particular, because you often hear players say they forget what the coach says at half time.
