Judiciary Report: Trio facing fines after Origin melee
Author NRL.com Wed 21 Jun 2023, 11:53 PMMaroons fullback Reece Walsh and Blues duo Jarome Luai and Josh Addo-Carr have all been cited for their roles in a scuffle in the dying seconds of Origin II.
Walsh and Luai face sacrificing 23 percent of their match fee with early guilty pleas, or 33 percent if they are found guilty at Judiciary, for Grade 2 Striking charges which saw both players sent off.
Addo-Carr has been hit with a lesser Grade 1 Striking charge and will be fined 10 percent of his match fee with an early guilty plea, which increases to 13 percent if he unsuccessfully contests the charge.
Addo-Carr was sin-binned for his role in the melee.
Walsh was also cited for Dangerous Contact stemming from a separate incident in the 54th minute on Luai, which carries a fine of 7 percent of his match fee with an early guilty plea or 10 percent if he is found guilty at Panel.
