What do you guys think?

I'd like to see him get a run there now that Meaney is heading to Melbourne. Lewis back into the halves.

I want thissssss!!

Tbh, he will start shithouse. But if he is a ball runner and fast, he needs to play there. I’m only worried about defence and his talk. Need to be loud out back barking orders

Yeah definitely, I mean it's going to be a struggle no matter who plays there if we can't change the situation of our go-forward.. but yeah I personally just don't know if I can see Jake as a long-term half as much as I can see him as a long-term either outside back, or fullback

its a sorry state of affairs when the club cant or wont trial players in positions they may well be best suited for. What the hell does it matter anyway now .We are firmly cemented in last place, chances are very high we wont win one single other game this season, so we have nothing to lose starting to experiment now. So what if we get a few thrashings nothings new this season. Let's see if the club management has the "balls" to experiment before we end up losing players that we may regret losing by the end of this season. Try Lewis at lock, try Averillo at fullback. After losing 66 zero it is time for the coach to cut the chase and completely change the structure of a team that hasn't performed all year round as it stands.

I'd throw Lewis in at centre (where he has played in NSW cup in the past and done quite well), or at hooker. We have nothing to lose.

Averillo should go okay at fullback. Defensively last line of defence anyway.

I think Av would sniff around for the offload in the middle, we are lacking that little flair that would make the opposition second guess a little

Yeah i'm not sure why Trent is not giving Lewis a go.. I mean at worst you're going to get a good defender, something we have little of.. you need the guys who will turn up in the squad even just for morale

Even JMK has played fullback before. Heck despite speed Hoppa was always a threat there too.

Hopefully they can pull this Dufty Hoppa swap off.. Hoppa cops a bit but he's given a lot to this club but unfortunately has always played behind a beaten pack

yeah definitely.. I wonder how many years being at the Dogs has cut short Hoppa's career lol dude looks pretty tired these days... I still think there's value in Hoppa at the right price for a team who plays more on the front foot, while he's not going to blow opposition away, he'll do his job at a decent level

True he's run off his feet defending all night long .in truth a few players have had their football careers shortened by coming here

I'd be interested to see how a Flanno Lewis halves combo would go.. Flanno obviously struggles when it's up to him to do it all but Lewis would take a bit of heat off of him

I think Flanno is a shot duck at the moment. He's had chances and failed to shine, and seems to lack core skills required of a halves player.

I think flanno has now shown he is not up to first grade standard we bought a dud in essence .
