Not much in this one but man what a breath of fresh air it is for us to have found our 1, but also see Jake playing good footy.. I was starting to think maybe he wasn't gonna be a long-term Dog.

I thought he had a good game his last outing at centre, but he looks right at home in the 1.

Makes you wonder why it took so long for him to be moved there. Fans have been calling it since Dean Pay days.

Dufty I cant see playing much more NRL given he leaves in 2023. Toia will be the backup next year.

The only way Dufty will play again in the NRL is if he goes over to the SL and not only kills it, but changes his attitude towards everything off the ball. Yeah once we knew Nick Meaney was heading to the Storm Averillo should have been given a crack at 1. Ah well, gaining some knowledge of other positions will at least be of benefit to him.

Averillo is slowly getting better and better at the back. I sense a decent future for him in the #1 if he continues this trajectory, as he's only going to get better.

He was our best player I thought, super safe given the conditions too.. took those bombs like a boss.

To play well in those conditions against a team who is giving it to us for the 80 is great signs for jake.
