Kyle Flanagan shares his story so far from a Sharks superstar as a child to the man to replace Cooper Cronk in Bondi. It has been a rollercoaster that is just beginning for Kyle, in 2021 he will be crucial to Trent Barrett's grand plan to rebuild the Dogs of War. A raw and honest chat with a kid who has been through a lot but is still just scratching the surface of his abilities.

Really good listen, goes for about 30 minutes odd.

Seems very level headed and speaks very well. Really wants to relish in being able to be part of a massive turnaround at the Dogs, and that sort of buy in by him and hopefully others will really lead to success.

I liked Kyle in the younger grades and he made the transition to first grade at the Sharks seamlessly.. I was very surprised the Sharks let him walk and not surprised that the Roosters picked him up and was a bit jealous at the time so I am very happy to see him in the blue & white

Him and Burton would be excellent (if he comes next year). Young and can forge a good bond / partnership.
That's what I like about Barrett.. he's come straight in with the notion of not just buying up a team for instant success, but rather putting together a young core team that will be at the club for years to come.

2021 we might still be missing some fire power, but there are a lot of guys off contract (from the past mob), so a good chance to sort out who sinks or swims past 2021 really.

2022 and 2023 is going to be when we pack some real punch I reckon.

Barrett is looking to build a star team not a team of stars who only play for themselves and not the team. I like his logic

Good listen. Understandably he sounds a bit cut being released from the Roosters but one man's loss....

Roosters have put all their eggs in the Sam Walker basket. Clearly they see something his highlights reel doesn't show.

didn't they sign another half from the Warriors? Keighran?
Yep, Adam Keighran as backup. Good pickup for them.

Is it anything like that 17 year old winger's "highlight" reel?
It's up there, but not quite as bad. I liken it more to the Kayln Ponga Rugby highlights video.

Glimpses of individual talent, but nothing that makes you got "wow this guys gonna be a superstar".
