Round 21 Judiciary charges

Author bulldogs.com.au - Mon 9 Aug 2021, 12:04 PM

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs players Dylan Napa and Jack Hetherington have both been charged by the match review committee following the club’s round 21 clash with the Wests Tigers.

Napa has been charged twice for incidents in Sunday's loss, dangerous contact on James Tamou in the second minute and a careless high tackle on Thomas Mikaele in the 69th minute.
Both charges are grade-one offences but if he unsuccessfully contests the charges, he would be banned for four matches.
An early guilty plea will see Dylan sidelined for three weeks.

Meanwhile, Hetherington has been charged for a grade-one careless high tackle on Alex Twal.
An early guilty plea will see him miss two weeks, but if he contests the charge at the judiciary and is unsuccessful, the prop forward will miss three matches.

In other judiciary news, New Zealand Warriors props Matt Lodge and Kane Evans are each looking at two weeks on the sidelines.
Lodge was hit for a careless high tackle and Evans for contrary conduct. Evans will miss just one match with an early guilty plea. As well as a potential ban, Evans is also facing fines for two separate incidents.
Warriors winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak is looking at one week on the sideline after being charged with contrary conduct following his sides win over the Cronulla Sharks.

So Dogs lose Napa and Hetherington (plus Thompson already on sidelines suspended, whilst RFM and Ogden injured).
Meanwhile Warriors lose Evans and Lodge, plus DWZ.
