- New guys bringing in lots of leg speed, and Trent B wants us to play on front foot with faster leg speed.
- Focus on fitness training.
- Heaps praise on Jackson "epitomises the Bulldogs spirit".
- Says Trent B's strengths are intensity, attack, and input into defence. Trying to help all players bring out their best, and shows examples himself how he'd like drills done.
- Prefers fullback and would like to play there, but happy to play wing or centre.
- Trent B "Positions largely up for grabs based on performance in trials".
- Kyle Flanagan fitting in nicely with a really cool head.
- Nick Coctric training at centre. Keen to learn.
- Mentions love playing golf.

Jacko has copped a bit over the last year or two but everybody needs to remember that he has been a warrior for the Bulldogs for a long time, and he could have left like Klemmer did... now if all goes well his commitment will have paid off and he will be captaining a team who are on the comeback and better days are just around the corner

I hope Nick gets a fair bit of game time next year, as Trent's style of play will suit him.. it remains to be seen if he will be re-signed, but at least he'll get a proper audition.

Totally agree. I think Jacko felt a lot on his shoulders these last few years, and his on field ability fell off as a result. On his day and in form he's still one of the best second rowers in the game.

Nick showed he can find the line last year, but he just needs to start trusting himself more, and be confident in his body.

That's it man he has got it in him to be at the top again.. It's always going to be tough when playing in teams who are on the back foot week in week out

yeah you can see he is a bit reluctant to dive for the line as an example, unless it is a must.. guess that's just the fullback in him coming out where as the other guys have been training their entire careers to dive for the line.. I think Trent will instil much more confidence in him

Theres aspects of his (Jacksons) game which showed last year, but we didn't have the players/structure to make the best of it. Think of how many times last year he broke the line and nobody was there in support!

I reckon Coctric will be outside him, and Flangan on the inside. Put Meaney on the edge and Allan floating around the back and that's a really dangerous edge.
On the other side you'll have Hoppa (Mr Tip On), with Averillo on the inside. Put DWZ / Okunbor / Katoa on that edge, and RFM inside them and again that's really dangerous with Allan floating around.

Yeah it's always tough in a team struggling for confidence and I think so much of it comes down to the pre-season and training in general.. I remember in the Locker Room interview that the General did where he was talking about how confident he felt when he did his first pre season with the Dogs and how playing was basically the easy part.. I think our guys will play more to their potentials this season after getting a good pre-season in.. it's easy sometimes to forget what some of these guys are capable of, like Dallin as an example is a far better player than what we saw last year.

Totally agree with you there. I think a lot of players will have a new lease of life under the new setup and coaching.
