Naden seems like a decent guy who obviously has some issues but ffs what precedent does this set?

Still doesn't look a good example to the young up and comers . Its like saying oh it fine to take cocaine so long as you don't do it to enhance yourself during the competitions, despite the fact that it is still an illegal drug to take elsewhere unless you are sports people. Too many lines in the sand not good.

its like our state govt allowing a huge crowd to watch the third Indian cricket test against Australia at the SCG. I like my sport but not when it comes at the possible expense of peoples lives because every one of us has to adhere to new rules. again it is saying "ahh but its different because it's sport" I make no apology for my comments.

How many other rules are we going to water down because of certain market segments. Governments must have the balls to make unilateral decisions on laws not divide them based on popularity irrespective of the crime

whilst I abhor and don't condone any kind of crime we cant have joe blow going to jail for 25 years for paedophilia whilst a politician or sportsman or the like being given 10 years for the same crime.
The law is the law don't water it down to fit social segments it is fraught with danger. The Romans tried this centuries ago in another age and look what happened to them Rome burned but then again no doubt our politicians don't want to know about history repeating itself. I rest my case.

Yeah that's the system sadly, it just comes down to who can afford the best lawyers.. it's amazing that they can't just look at the crimes and say ok this is the punishment, it's all fine details and loopholes
