Such a tragedy they had to go and spoil their celebrations by breaking the legend statue Rumour has it that as penance the half back and his father will stand in knee deep mud with arms around each other for hours while they model a new statue.
Next time NRL make a plastic duplicate and let them do what they like with that one and after the grand final the old one if they can rebuild it should be taken away by a responsible official (if they can find one i mean)and locked away in the winning teams glass cabinet for the year. If the players responsible can be found and the crime can be "Provan the players should be issued with "Summons" . We always knew one day this would happen thus the Provan/Summons Trophy

Looked like it was unscrewed from underneath rather than broken.

Laurie Daley broke one years ago when he almost fell out of the back of a ute during the Grand Final parade in Canberra.

Let's be honest though it's probably been damaged by multiple teams who had it repeated and kept on the down low lol.. I do like your idea of a replica for the team to party with @Old Woof Woof

Only trophy that counts, and the NRL fuckers stole it off us, as they do with most anything positive with us!
We won it last, we should get to display it.

Can't forget this image.
Can't forget winning three sudden-death matches just to make the grand final, which wasn’t enough for us, we then went on and shocked the supposed red-hot favourites 17-4 in the decider.
Built on the back of resolute defence (we allowed just 28 points in four finals games), captain Terry Lamb and Clive Churchill Medallist Jim Dymock set up the win.
Up the Dogs!

It's funny how desperately they're trying to create a villain narrative of the Panthers. I know some people don't like Ivan, but honestly i reckon he's one of the more genuine coaches, and it's refreshing to know that a team of mostly juniors can still get the job done.. it's also refreshing to know that it's not just the Roosters and Melbourne in the mix.
