The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have confirmed their line-up to take on the Manly Sea Eagles this Saturday at 4 Pines Park (3:00PM AEDT).

On-field Captains, Reed Mahoney and Matt Burton will lead the side out for their first match up of the season, while Paul Alamoti and Jacob Preston will make their first grade debut.

Special dispensation from the NRL will see Jayden Tanner make his debut also, after Luke Thompson suffered a mid-week ankle injury at training.

The Round 1 clash will mark Fa'amanu Brown's 50th NRL game, and Cameron Ciraldo's first NRL Premiership fixture as Head Coach.

This was not the team list I was expecting, though it looks good.. I'm really excited to see Pele in the side, along with Preston.. I don't know much about Tanner, but they obviously rate him!

I don't mind Nu Brown at lock, he looked threatening at times in the trial and it's not always easy to get yourself into a game where the team is on the back foot and you're coming off the bench to play a roaming type of role.

Preston and Brown rolling lock position.

Gotta be honest, ref playing to the crowd this game. We look sloppy.

Same old same old from the refs.

Below represents the depth of winning experience and knowledge we had play today's game.
Does the scoreboard represent that?
FUCK NO!!!!
Something stinks and has for a while, and no, I genuinely do not believe it is us.

1. International rep
2. International rep
3. International rep
5. 2 premierships & International rep
6. 1 premiership & International rep
7. Finalist
8. International rep
9. Grand finalist & International rep
10. 3 Grand finals, 2 Premierships & International rep
11. 2 Premierships & International rep
12. Dual International rep
13. International rep

The rest of our top 30 includes multiple finals matches and international rep; multiple finals, 2 premierships and International rep; multiple finals premiership and dual international rep, and an International rep.

At least the following experience in the side.
14 international reps
9 Grand final wins
9 Players playing finals footy.

As for the coach, has played the game at an international level, is a defensive coach who has won two Grand finals, and coached at an international level too.

So @NRL explain to us fans why we have a side full of winning experience, with a winning coach, yet are suddenly duds when they don a blue and white jersey.
Convince me that there are not people on the take, or hold a grudge against us to the point that matches are unfairly swayed to favour our opposition.

The league will never own up to that one so we have to play well above that to shut them all up. Coughing up the ball and making very little ground in attack is our own fault. One blatant push in the back on one of our players when we were close to scoring highlights refs looking the other way at a convenient time. However after the disgraceful 10 minute sin bin on our half for the same thing does make one think there are rules for some teams and not for others. Try explaining that one Mr Referee!
