I didn't watch it as I've mentioned, but am keen to hear what you all though.. What did you make of Jacko's performance? his stats look pretty good

Jacko played well and in those stats keep in mind he was off the field for 10 minutes.
Ava had a solid game off the bench as did Thommo and Hetherington.

I don't mind Ava.. like given his age and the fact he's been away from the NRL... he's no-nonsense
I hope we really improve next year so that Thompson gets more enjoyment out of his time here.. he certainly works his ass off... and I've been impressed with Hetherington on the field... not always amazing, but he's still relatively new to first grade and can only get better, but he definitely rips in

Thompson I agree, he dominated in ESL, and probably expected to do the same out here. But he's putting in decent performances here still.
Hetho is very tentative at times (most likely because if he so much as farts on field he gets suspended for 90 games these days). I was saying on the weekend to someone that if Hetho was back in the day the shoulder charge was allowed, he'd have been lethal.

Oh yeah, he's a big boy.
We're a much better team when Thompson plays, that's for sure.. he just needs more consistency from the other members of the pack.
It sucks, because not long ago you'd be praised for being an "old style" player.. It must be hard when you're 6"3 to not have one or two tackles go wrong, in a day where merely brushing the chin can result in a penalty, or worse.

We just need a few key things to fall into place, and we should start clicking. Each win is another boost in confidence too.
