I feel (on a dry field) this is the litmus test for the Bulldogs.

Full strength Souths against mildly weakened but still fairly decent Bulldogs team.

We MUST win this game if we are to avoid the spoon I reckon.

I think we have a reasonable chance, just like we had a chance against Sharks but the conditions (and sadly Caseys debut as a result of the conditions) absolutely killed us. Yet we were still in it with the Sharks for most of the game.

I'm surprised nothing more was made of Cartwright's leap that injured the Fox. He may have initially been going for the ball, but he gave up once he went to leap.

Basically the whole game from a refereeing point of view was to ensure souths got the rub at all times and could do no wrong end of story
