Round 22 Team News: James & Horsburgh to play for Bulldogs against the Warriors

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will welcome Raiders duo, Ryan James and Corey Horsburgh, into their side for this Sunday's clash with the Warriors in Redcliffe (2:00PM AEST).
Both players have been loaned to the Bulldogs for two weeks from the Canberra Raiders.
Their loans have come about after a request from the Bulldogs, based on the fact that they will be missing both Dylan Napa (3 matches) and Jack Hetherington (2 matches), due to suspension after taking early guilty pleas.
In addition, Luke Thompson is still out with suspension and Renouf Atoni has returned to Sydney to attend the birth of his child.

Bulldogs - General Manager of Football, Phil Gould, thanked Ricky Stuart, the Raiders and the NRL.
“The Bulldogs would like to thank Raiders coach Ricky Stuart and the entire Raiders organisation for this kind gesture in loaning our club two players for the next fortnight to cover our extraordinary circumstances."
"Sincere thanks also to Peter V’Landys and his fellow Commissioners, NRL CEO Andrew Abdo and his salary cap team for showing discretion under the rules to allow these player loans to take place."
"It’s greatly appreciated by the Bulldogs, our members, fans and corporate partners."
"It’s been a tough year for the club, but the coach and players want to continue being competitive right until the very last siren rings out."
"In our hour of need, to have another NRL club show us such support, typifies the unity amongst all NRL clubs in these difficult times."
"Hopefully it’s never needed, but if the opportunity ever arises one day, we will be certain to return the favour."

In other team news:
  • Ryan James will start at prop, with Corey Horsburgh coming off the bench
  • Ava Seumanufagai will start in the other front row position
  • Matt Doorey will start in the second row, with Joe Stimson coming on to the bench. Corey Waddell drops out of the squad
The match will also see Adam Elliott play his 100th NRL game for the Bulldogs.

Will update when team lists are released tomorrow, but our forward pack is going to look mighty ugly (as will Warriors).

Napa, Hetherington, Ogden, RFM, and Thompson - all missing for Bulldogs.
Evans, Lodge and DWZ missing for Warriors.

DWZ suspended for Warriors and will miss the game.

I'm guessing maybe Hiku to wing and Aitken to centres.

What a shit game that was.

Bad calls, dropped balls, penalties galore, and very few stood up.

Meaney appears to be getting better, Schoupp had his best game yet for us, and our rental players did great.

Katoa can just go. I don't care who replaces him, the bloke no doubt know hes playing the last few games of his NRL career.
