I'd like to see Topine given more time. He's a very capable player, and has a bit of ability about him, but has never had a chance to really stand out.

Club need to put a line through Flannos name. We cannot afford to keep thinking he's going to get any better, or magically start firing.
He's had 7 games plus an offseason to prove himself and is just not progressing.
How many more games are we going to burn hoping he comes good.

Was a strange game because Ciraldo reckoned we played well and were gutsy. In all honesty though I thought we looked far from our best (probably not helped by losing Kikau midweek), and never really got into the game.
First 20 minutes we failed to get into their half, and that did the damage. From there on we were on the backfoot, and once they hit 16, we were never coming back.

Why was Flanno playing dummy half instead of Mahoney?

i have been saying for 3 years now that Flanagan is not a first grade half. His improvement shows zero. We sadly lack a decent half to partner Burton. and as for our defence just look at the numbers we now sit after 7 rounds as the worst defenside side in the comp even worse than Wests and thats saying something. At this rate we couldnt beat an under 23 side from another team. I know we have many injuries but good teams overcome that with good reserves to fill that spot . We have a good NSW cup team but as soon as they jump into first grade they catch the dreaded first grade disease of no attack and pathetic defence. The last two games have shown how bad we lack attack and again it all circles around your halves and we just happen to have a halve thats improvement is nil each week he has had that many chances and come up with nothing new. time we took a chance and thrust a new half into our midst. Lets face it our season is pretty well shot already. What happened to the pride in the family jumper?My sympathy is with Cameron Ciraldo. This team will destroy his career too unless they start listening to the coach. It will reach the stage where no one will want to coach the dogs cos its a death wish
He got axed but due to injuries moved Mahoney into halves to try and spark attack and put Flanno at hooker.
