Flanno dropped.

RFM speaks really well. Honestly answered questions and was covering well for any pointed questions.

This is the incident they refer to in the conference (about the pitch invader who hugs Zac Lomax).

Now we can see how badly Kyle was holding us back and if the lions share him or the team itself.

Keep forgetting Jake Averillo is only 22 year old.

Also Preston is a dead set champion. I can see him being our new Josh Jackson.

Cameron Ciraldo: "Yep, Karls going to play tomorrow. He's ready, he's been ready for quite a number of weeks now. Didn't have his best game in reserve grade last week but he's shown us more enough over the first 8 weeks of nsw cup games and the training hes done here, he's ready to take his shot and as a team were gonna support him do that".

Cameron Ciraldo: re Flanno "Few things to work on in his game"

Cameron Ciraldo: re Karl "Yep for sure, we see him playing off the bench tomorrow, but a full 80 minutes in following weeks time"

Updated team list.

Harrison Edwards replaces injured Max King.

Man if our forwards can continue to play like that we will win plenty of games. Waddell has been good this year, Edwards looking like a first grader.. I reckon Okunbor is even going well... I'm liking that Jayden is playing with more belief, particularly defensively. I like Morrin as well... lacking a bit of size, but he works hard and always gives plenty whenever he gets selected.

Man these guys are looking so much happier and connected this season. Cameron and the staff seem to have created a good atmosphere and the players are responding

Okunbor should have been in the second row long ago.

Waddles has been excellent this year.

Waddles has been excellent this year.

Once he ran over the top of Cam Smith twice in one game it was obvious. That's why I'm liking Ciraldo as a coach because he sees the obvious and implements it, such as Ray not running straight enough.

That's why mentioned how he's got that old school style about him where he's not trying to reinvent the wheel, but rather focus on individual strengths and how it can benefit the player and the team.

Yeah some people wouldn't remember that Waddel was actually a proper gun when he was coming through the Penrith grades, so it's great to see him finding form.. he had at least one or two decent seasons at Manly before having a real form slump.

Yep totally agree there. He's coaching to the players strengths which helps too.

Waddles has been solid for us, and once we have a full strength team, I think we'll be one to watch in the competition.

Definitely mate. You can already tell our players are playing with more confidence and belief now and so much of that really is just being that bit fitter, and yeah having a coach who is very focused on individual strengths.

I feel like a lot of coaches would have overlooked Okunbor, but Ciraldo is looking to find anything he can utilise out of what's available to him, and given Jayden's size and our depth in the outside backs, it seems a no brainer. At the back end of the Dragons game I noticed a fair few extra efforts and urgency from Okunbor.. nothing spectacular, but it just goes to show the attitude our players have now.

The Lolax break also comes to mind, we had at least 4 guys in pursuit. It's good signs.

Interesting in the presser about our Raiders game, Ciraldo mentions that "halves dont tend to really come good until around 26", so shows hes thinking long term about how some players may have just been underdone with past coaches.

and on top of that, Matt Johns reckons it can take years till they really start to own the game, like see things with full clarity.. Nathan Cleary is a good example there, he was good when he started, then had a few years where he was called overrated and what not, but now he's well into his groove.

I think the good thing about Karl is his side and his work ethic.. a lot of young halves get found out when they don't have the ball.
