That’s 106 points in 2 game.
I think we scored that in 10 games.

Records were smashed across the NRL in the first week of the finals after South Sydney’s 46-20 demolition of Newcastle on Sunday.
Not only was it the most points Souths had scored in a finals match in their 112-year history, it made for the biggest weekend of points in week one of the finals in the NRL era.
Yeah I wouldn't say history making. All that shows is:
a) how much disparity there is between the top teams.
b) how bad teams defence currently is.

Knights shouldn't have even been in the finals.

Both Knights and Sharks were the only teams both under 100 AND under 50 points difference. Infact Sharts finish with a perfect "0" points difference. Both were simply making up the numbers.

12 to 24 points against is the average for teams in the Top 8 this year.

Just whipped this up and shows that the average points differences is making the finals as expected. Note that the team with the closest points difference just happened to have the closest game.

6 again having the most impact of any rule in the modern day era.

A huge opportunity by refs to impact outcomes.

Unlimited tackle rule change before that.

It is a bit confusing when you're watching two teams who appear to be evenly matched, then one all of a sudden one of said teams begins to receive a bunch of consecutive set restarts out of nothing.
