Really feel for the bloke. He's had a case of the dropsies last year in NSW Cup but been quite solid in 2022.

Worst debut I've seen in some time for a player, and the conditions in no way helped him.

Hopefully he can bounce back confidently from it, and use it to better his game.

might have even been too early for him to debut but given Burns only just came back coach might have felt it was the best option.. he's a bit of a twig so maybe getting that crack might inspire him to bulk up during the off season as he's probably not gonna get another go this year seeing as Braidon will likely take that spot next game if Allan isn't back.

You could see how distraught he was each error, proper nightmare shit.. Gus needs to give him the old soapy ball to train with.

Poor kid. That’s as bad a debut as I’ve ever seen.
That concussion was sickening too.
One has to question if the club has some serious accountability on this one.

Okunbor would have played shit most likely, but he's a bigger body as well.

Hopefully Caseys mental health isn't badly impacted by such a debut.

I think the concussion was compounded by him trying to make up for mistakes by putting a shot on Fifita and coming off second best.

Was really nice to see the Sharks social media team immediately after he got concussed post up on Twitter that their thoughts and prayers were with him on his recovery.

Yeah he'll take a massive confidence dent from that game. Needs to head back to NSW Cup and work back into form.

from what I've heard he's got a few errors in his game in general, so as bad as it was, maybe it was a wakeup call not just for himself, but our coaching staff. He and Okunbor need to train with the soapy ball

Last year he was pretty error prone, but this year in NSW Cup he's been much better.

ah k, yeah by the looks of his highlight reel he appears to do alright... it was an absolute shocker of a day for a debut for a guy his size and like you suggested it would probably have been a better option to go with Okunbor.

comes down to one valuable lesson we are hopefully fixing up the spine next year aka hooker and tightening the forwards but still a point on question of the lack of one extra fast back with a few brains . i don't think Braidon Burns is the answer either

Yeah, I mean Jeremy has had a great season but I think with Reed's craftiness around the ruck it will make it a bit harder for good defensive teams to rush us, which is what Sharks did on the weekend.

I agree, unless Burns has a breakout season next year.. he's got skill but his timing often lets him down.
