As much as I love heaping shit on the Tigers, I have to say I think they are in the right here (from what we're hearing).... Josh is a good solid consistent player but their pack still get owned by all the better teams.. I don't know if he is the guy you throw big money at

Bwahahaha thats a brutal swipe by Lee. Would be gold seeing him on the rideon at Leichardt if it came to that :D.
Aloiai could well have really screwed himself. Wests desperately need to make a statement after the JAC fuck around and all the bad press of late. Groundskeeper Joshy :ROFLMAO:

I know I give that train wreck of a club a lot of grief but HUGE respect to them if they stick to their word and let him rot in reserve grade.

It's about time a club didn't bend over for a player.

I agree players these days have to much power.

While that's funny it doesn't do him any favours, IMO.

Lol yeah I know... he's obviously not the smartest guy seeing as they are the ones who will decide whether he is released, or whether he becomes the groundskeeper :sneaky:

I thought latest was they cancelled a meeting with him asking for a release after he posted that meme and instead told him "see you Nov 30th".

Wests Tigers have threatened to fine and then sack disgruntled forward Josh Aloiai if he fails to attend the club’s pre-season training which begins next week.

Aloiai and his management are agitating for a release form the final year of his Tigers deal to sign a more lucrative contract with Manly, but the club refuses to be a door mat.

....

It's a situation the NRL need to resolve. If you don't get a mutual release you sit out that period at half pay or something.

The scenario is lose lose for the Tigers. You can't force a player to perform, and they can waste away in lower grades, but even so still not put in.

If he doesn't show up, sure they can try to fine him (not enforcable), but he still gets a release (which is what he is after).

If he gets sacked he shouldn't be able to sign another contract unless the Tigers agree.

Sacking him is just doing him a favour.
