JIMMY BRINGS: All the inside mail on the NRL, delivered by James Hooper

HEAT IS ON FOR MISSING TOP DOGS

The heat is about to intensify on Bulldogs chair Lynne Anderson who has not been sighted off Nobby’s for the entire season.

While coach Dean Pay has been left to answer the tough questions in front of the cameras every week, Anderson and CEO Andrew Hill have been invisible.

We’re flat out getting them on the phone aside from returning text messages saying nothing to see here.

The in-fighting at Canterbury-Bankstown will spill over into a joint board meeting on Thursday where the football club and leagues club boards will get together.

Expect Leagues club chairman George Coorey to be making himself heard.

As it sits right now the Bulldogs are chasing Nick Cotric and John Bateman for next year.

The trouble is all the instability and uncertainty at Belmore around who will be the head coach is the first question all potential recruits want answered.

Normally I'd say this is just ignoring pesky journos, but theres so much now that the fanbase needs assurance on, and yet literally white noise is being heard.

To be fair if I saw an incoming SMS/Call from James Hooper I'd fob it off as well.

Will this be held in an octagon on Fight Island? We'd better get some news back from this.

Groundhog day.

Same scenario and lack of attention/confirmation cost us Turpin and a crack at luring over Papenhuyzen and Welch (whom Turpin played alongside at Storm).

I perfectly fine with the club not commenting on rumors. Most of the time the rumors are made up by the media in an attempt to force a press conference.
as for pay fronting up, That’s his job. Every week, post match, explain yourself. If he wants to make it easier, he could start by picking a team that can compete?

I think he was CEO of the Rugby league world cup and general manager of league integration and development in 2017.

Pretty sure he was GM at the Eels and GWS in the gayfl before that, so not the best track record imo

He has to go... I mean I am sure he has done things around the club but we need real strength in that position.. we're absolutely rubbish and he is always somewhere in the background

Problem is Hill is a YES MAN. I mean he's being more transparent with fans, but I honestly don't believe he's being allowed to fully run the club as a CEO should.

By this I mean I think there are too many self opinionated board members offering their 5c and hovering around him making decisions for him.

Ahhh interesting. I don't follow any of the Facebook groups, nor did I closely follow Bulldogs Debate Page when it was around :)
