The Bulldogs and the NRL are investigating an incident involving Canterbury back-rower Adam Elliott during the weekend.
It is understood Elliott, who was drinking with teammates, was asked to leave an establishment on Sunday afternoon. There was no breach of the game’s biosecurity concerns as the restaurant was an approved venue by the NRL.
The NRL and the club were made aware of the incident on Monday morning.

Elliott, who only recently played his 100th top grade game for the club, said earlier this year he would take “professional help in regards to issues with alcohol” after a string of boozed-related off-field incidents.
He made headlines in February after an incident involving former teammate Michael Lichaa.
The Bulldogs were due to train on Monday.

The playing future of controversial Canterbury forward Adam Elliott is in jeopardy after he was kicked out of a Gold Coast restaurant whilst in the company of NRLW player Millie Boyle over the weekend.

The Bulldogs have stood down Elliott pending an NRL Integrity Unit investigation into an incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, when restaurant management asked Elliot to leave the premises.

Nine has been told that Elliott and Boyle were seen heading towards the bathrooms together. Security later demanded Elliott leave the venue. Elliott and Boyle both reside from Country NSW and are long-time friends.
It is believed Elliott was drinking leading up to the incident on Sunday. He has been receiving counselling for his alcohol problems for most of this year.

Elliott has been asked for comment. Boyle, who was with Broncos teammate Lauren Brown and Rugby Sevens star Charlotte Caslick on Sunday, has also been contacted but hasn’t responded.

Elliott will speak to the NRL Integrity Unit this afternoon and has been stood down by the Bulldogs pending the results of the investigation.

Elliott, who was also with other Bulldogs players and their partners at the time, isn’t believed to have broken any of the NRL’s biosecurity protocols. However, he has a long list of indiscretions to his name.

He was the face of the club’s drunken Mad Monday scandal a few years ago. Earlier this year, he was involved in an altercation with former Bulldogs teammate Michael Lichaa, whose wife Kara Childerhouse told police that she was caught making out with Elliott in the early hours of Valentine’s Day.

Sounds like Idiot sent for a quickie in the toilets and got caught out.
If this is not enough to terminate his contract, what is?
Seriously, three alcohol fuelled public indecency related acts is more than enough for me to sleep with ease seeing him terminated.

Gus talked about the incident on 100% Footy: https://wwos.nine.com.au/videos/nrl...-adam-elliott-drama/cksoiyzma001j0ho0zkcjvc1t

Basically can't say too much except that he told Adam that things like this allow media to dig up the past. NRL Integrity Unit looking to if the venue/transport to/from venue may be a NRL Bubble breach. Has let club, sponsors, team mates, and fans down. They want it handled swiftly. I kinda get the feeling he'll survive it.

The playing future of controversial Canterbury forward Adam Elliott is in jeopardy after he was kicked out of a Gold Coast restaurant whilst in the company of NRLW player and friend Millie Boyle at the weekend.

The Bulldogs have stood down Elliott pending an NRL Integrity Unit investigation into an incident that occurred on Sunday night, when restaurant management asked Elliot to leave the premises when discovered with Boyle in the men’s bathroom.

The Bulldogs board could make a decision on Elliott’s future at the club as early as Tuesday. Elliott told Bulldogs officials he was having his first drink in seven months on Sunday, starting with a barbecue with his Bulldogs teammates before moving on to the White Rhino, on the famous Cavill Avenue strip.

Sources with knowledge of what happened told the Herald the Bulldogs back-rower and Boyle were kissing, but were worried about being seen together by a few of the wives and partners of Canterbury players. Many of them remain friends with Elliott’s ex-partner, who has returned to the Top End. Elliott and Boyle made their way to the men’s bathroom for privacy when staff asked him to leave.

Elliott told the NRL Integrity unit he left the premises when asked, no drugs were involved and the incident did not involve the police.

The NRL Integrity Unit are sourcing CCTV footage to corroborate Elliott’s version of events.

Elliott landed in hot water for being photographed drunk at the club’s Mad Monday celebrations in 2018, then again earlier this year when confronted by former teammate Michael Lichaa when caught kissing his partner Kara Childerhouse in the early hours of the morning. Elliott told the Bulldogs the night with Lichaa was the last time he had a beer. He has continued to undergo alcohol counselling every week and is scheduled to take part in a session on Tuesday afternoon.

Elliott has told those close to him he is surprised the latest incident involving Boyle has led to him being stood down by Canterbury the remaining two games of the season.

Elliott declined to comment while Boyle told News Corp: “Look, all we did was have a kiss in a bathroom. It’s been taken way out of context. It’s a big kerfuffle about nothing. We’re both single and mates from way back.”

Elliott’s camp now privately fear he could be moved on by the club. There have been reports the Bulldogs are under salary-cap pressure, and just last week failed in their bid to have English prop Luke Thompson pursue a deal elsewhere.

The forward was heavily pursued by the New Zealand Warriors last year, but liked the vision of in-coming coach Trent Barrett and re-signed until the end of 2023.

Canterbury chief executive Aaron Warburton said the club were aware of an incident involving Elliott and “the club are currently working with the NRL Integrity Unit regarding the matter.
“As a result the Bulldogs have stood Elliott down from the final two matches of the season, until that process has been completed,” the Bulldogs said in a statement.

Elliott and Boyle both grew up in the Bega region in southern NSW. Boyle was out with Broncos teammate Lauren Brown and Rugby Sevens star Charlotte Caslick on Sunday.

She says kiss, which means it was probably a bit more. So they made out in the toilets... how classy.

Just a kiss sounds a LOT like trying to save face and not be judged by her peers.
I've no issue of they hook up, it is how!
If they were concerned about being seen by their peers, just fucking wait until you can get back to the hotel FFS!

Yet another reason this club is on the bottom of the comp when they resign the idiot for a few more years earlier this year reported to be I million dollars !!!
He is not even first grade standard so what on earth was the club thinking.
The club claims its a family club. Well this is a typical example of the club not enforcing that philosophy. When are these clubs going to put provision in the players contracts that they must behave or their contracts will be torn up and terminated. Its like the public service and politicians protected no matter what.
If players refuse to accept contracts with conditions like that then they are not worth signing anyway because it is obvious that they are going to cause trouble down the track.
Imagine this incident in a private company two single people employees skip to the loo for a quickie and all the staff are aware of it. They would be dismissed on the spot without recourse.

NRL have announced they have fined Elliott $10,000 for the incident which resulted in NRL biosecurity protocols needing to be breached (security removing them from restaurant).

I seriously will struggle to watch our team next year if he is in the lineup.. things were looking up with some quality signings and he is not only bad for morale but likely to pull another stupid stunt over the off season.

Media reporting fellow players either want him gone or significantly punished.
They're fed up with his antics apparently.

He has 5 days to reply to his breach notice and if the board are not satisfied they can still tear up his contract. The decision is not over yet.
