Broncos star Anthony Milford arrested, charged with assault
DAVID MURRAY NATIONAL CRIME CORRESPONDENT - SEPTEMBER 20, 2021Departing Broncos star Anthony Milford has been arrested and charged with assault after an altercation in Brisbane in the early hours of the morning.
Milford spent hours in custody on Monday after an incident that reportedly started with an argument with his partner Miri and led to three nearby witnesses intervening.
“Police were called to Marshall Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley shortly before 2am (Monday) following reports of a disturbance,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.
“A 27-year-old Forest Lake man was arrested nearby and charged with three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm and one count of wilful damage. He was given police bail to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 20.”
