Yet again poor officiating turns the momentum of a game. Try from a blatant knock on, and then penalised for touching a blokes hair shortly after. 8 points boost to Manly and we never recovered.

We played fairly well, and there was no real "dud" of a player out there today I felt. Penalties ended up 6-4 to Manly and set restarts (most of which Manly got on 4th tackle) were 6-3 to Manly.

Thought Meaney had a really good game, and Flanagan didn't put a foot wrong but still offered little in attack or with his kicking game. Katoa wasn't actually too bad either, nor was Wakeham.

Bit of a problem when the NRL themselves admit the try was contentious.

The Bulldogs fought hard to earn a 12-10 half-time lead but endured a horror opening to the second stanza, conceding four straight sets and turning away 25 consecutive tackles in their own red-zone – including a possible obstruction play that could have been a Bulldogs penalty.

The run of Manly possession culminated with Trbojevic's first try of the afternoon despite a magnificent try-saving attempt from Jack Hetherington, with the Sea Eagles fullback ruled to have got the ball to the ground despite appearing to lose possession in the process.

A penalty goal soon after, given after Joe Stimson was ruled to have pulled the hair of Martin Taupau, made it a six-point gap and left Stimson on report.

Katoa had a decent first half.. Good defensive effort by the team, shame Manly had so many dodgy penalties go there way

That Turbo call shits me.. so crucial given it would have been 7 tackles for us. Hetherington gets such a bad wrap but pulled off an amazing defensive effort, one of the best this year considering who it was on and gets no reward for his effort.

Yeah that bad call, the missed penalty for obstruction by Foran, and then Hetherington being penalised, add in the Taupau penalty, those all hurt us.

Not to mention how many really late in the tackle count set restarts Manly got.

Barrett aimed up in the presser at least, drawing attention to the bad calls shifting the momentum of the game.

And as Shane Flanagan said, we need everything to go our way.. minor stuff ups really hurt us.. even the Corey Alan penalty could have gone either way but not really one to complain about, like the other's.
