Watching a replay of the game now. I just remembered that I thought Allan and Stimson probably had their best games for the Dogs, nice for them to end the season on a high note.

Madge has had 3 years now, and in those 3 years they've gone 9th, 11th, and now 13th. Can't keep blaming the lineup.

Why not?
He has faced very similar issues to what we're gone through.
Crap players, fucked salary cap, no juniors, attitude problems, back office incompetence and arrogance.
He has largely cut the deadwood, got juniors onboard and fixed the salary cap, now is his time to start recruiting and building up.
Either he manages to recruit a few marquee players and they in turn attract other players and keep a hold of their juniors, or he doesn't.
lets face it, if they managed to hold on to Tedesco, it would be a different club, a far more attractive club with just him, and their recruitment and retention would of been better alone!

I still think the problem is the roster, but that's only due to the fact that the club are enablers of mediocrity and inconsistencies. When the players whinged about Madge they should have either been told to harden up, or Madge should have been moved on then and there. They need a guy like Madge to harden the team up but he needs to be backed by the board.

I blame Cleary the mut that paid overs for players and just left.
Cleary done to the tigers what des did to the dogs.
We are still fucked caused of des till this day, and I think the tigers are the same they will probably need another 2 years to recover.

I heard Ivan wasn't involved in the pay negotiations, he was only involved as far as saying which players he wanted.. still wasn't the best idea to sign an injury prone Josh Reynolds and Moses Mbye who were struggling in attack at a team who were playing good field position at the time

Tigers on paper are easily a top 8 side, yet they constantly miss out. The other big issue is all the players they are missing out on signing as nobody wants to go there.

You reckon they are though? Brooks offers nothing, the fullback is a rookie, and the hooker is always somebody new. Their only seasoned quality first grader in the halves is Douhei, but even for him he hasn't played a full season in the spine.. their forwards are ok.. I dunno I think where they ended up on the ladder makes sense.

I do agree with those who say Madge is intense, but the players are meant to be professionals

But in the past they had Mbye at fullback, Farah at hooker, Brooks and Moses in halves, and still couldn't perform.

Well what will we all say if the tigers finish well above us next year! that happens and we certainly need to turn our eye to our coach whom has countless scoring weapons joining the team next year

I still don't rate that.. a past it Robbie, a turnstile Benji, a useless Brooks, and a can't hold down a position Mbye. Benji is having a good season but when he is the main man he is an easy target for attackers.. they need to get stronger players on their edges as well, that's an area where they get dominated.. I think they should go for Ferguson.. sure he can be hit n miss in defence but he's better than anything they have and will give them good go forward coming out of trouble
