GAME DAY: SAT 1ST MAY @ 5:30PM on Foxtel

The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs will take an unchanged line-up into Saturday's grudge match against the Parramatta Eels at Stadium Australia (5:30PM).

Coming off the back of their first win of the season against the Sharks, Coach Trent Barrett has been able to name Chris Smith, Matt Doorey and Brad Deitz, all of whom left the field during last Saturday's hard-fought win.

Brandon Wakeham, who made history last round by becoming the first-ever 18th man substitute to take the field during an NRL match, has been named on an extended bench, alongside Dallin Watene-Zelezniak who is touch and go to recover from a leg infection that was treated in hospital last week.

Hooker and go forward are our biggest issues.

- Slow service from dummy half and sloppy poor choices means we get bogged down easily.
- Lack of go forward means we we get stuck in our sets and the opposition creep closer to our line. In addition it takes a toll on our players.

When your forwards make metres, or your hooker is performing, it gives more space and depth in attack for halves and outside backs to move. That moves you upfield as well.

But when your hooker is passing to flat footed forwards, or attack is in a line, theres no forward momentum and so the team makes no metres.

It all starts with #9.

And I might add Mr Barrett was responsible in the decision making for most of these players so take a look at yourself in the mirror Trent. I
rest my case.
Fair points.. they have to go hard for a hooker and forwards for next year or we might as well just forfeit the season.. If our coach and administration are serious I should expect to hear about the Bulldogs chasing Kenny within the next few weeks

Exactly this.. every millisecond counts in regards to players receiving the ball.. I know we haven't got the best pack but you have to ask yourself, how would these blokes go if they were getting Cam Smith service.. it's no surprise we've been better when Katoa goes off.. he's just not up to it, and he never asks any questions it's just very straight forward and not quick enough

Kenny from Panthers. Also Dogs might be monitoring the McInnes situation.

I'd even take Nathan Peats at the moment.

McInnes is off to Sharks next year. We need to put in a big offer for Kenny.. he's the best who is off contract.

We should have looked at Hughes, Papenhauyzen and Hynes when they were killing it in Q Cup a few years back. 2018/2019 those guys were still in Q Cup looking for a NRL contract.

What was our recruitment team doing ??
Sweet FA I'm afraid just like they been doing for years. Must be the easiest job in an NRL club
