I noticed David Tangata-Toa was in the coaches box for the NRL game as well.

Considering we are heavily reduced with players too in NSW Cup, wait till that sides full strength. Going to be very hard to beat.

He's an interesting one. I reckon he'll be the permanent assistant at some stage.. bloke knows what he's doing

He's been an assistant coach under Kristian Wolff at Tonga, and at the Cowboys.

Plus he sits in the boxes at all games.

I suspect he's happy being head coach of NSW Cup and transitional Coach to first grade.

and that's without pretty much their entire forward pack missing!

Check out our defence in NSW Cup. Only team under 200 points against!

Make that second in Flegg (currently), and 1st in NSW Cup (albeit 2 teams 2 points below us have a bye still).

Still, bloody impressive given the injury toll in first grade pulling from lower grades.

It's good signs for the future.

Also, surely Skelton gets a debut soon?! We can't use defence as an excuse when we're the worst defensive team in the comp.. no position bar Mahoney and Preston (just about) should be safe.

Have to wonder if we're wasting a development spot by playing Reynolds. He was the only player today who didn't look in sync today (for mine) and he could well do something that costs the team when it comes to finals.

He's fine in NSW Cup, helping out the younger guys coming through.

Boys got up over Penrith
In both grades.

Flegg - equal first (second on points difference).
NSW Cup - outright first with a 2 point bye still up our sleeve and heavily depleted.

Factor in that every single lower grade except SG Ball made finals, and that's really bloody impressive.

Drew today with Wests. Apparently Waddell played so no surprises! They almost snatched it at the end.

Thankfully Penrith went down to Newcastle, but Jets got up.

A few Dogs fans are trying to blame everything on Gus now, with no acknowledgement of the good work he's doing building our pathways/juniors up.

There's good energy in the lower grades that will gradually filter through to first grade, but you can't debut every player at once, especially when we already have several players in the early stages of their careers.

Riff just lost to Canberra, 22-18

Jets are getting pumped by St George 40-4 with half an hour to go
