Have a look at the HP x360s as HP sell them online too and there are quite a few specs in the range (so they vary in price). Biggest problem with the Surface Pros (apart from the cheaper ones running a scaled back Windows 10), is that Microsoft are a massive pain in the arse to deal with for warranty issues with them.

ASUS and HP both have excellent after sales service, however ASUS flips are quite limited in specs/price.
I'll have a look in store this week, to much to chose from lol

Saints Row 3... I'm trying to replay Genkibowl VII however I can't do so. I can only replay that crappy PR mission where you gotta drive that nut around in the flamethrower car. Any ideas @K E?

Sorry, my brother. My memory of missions is hazy at best. I barely remember any mission barring the opening mission.

This looks pretty fucking sick..

0:41 seconds in ... I can't unsee that statue shape :D.
4:49 old mate with seemingly no pants on appears.
11:55 prepare for frame rate destruction on older systems.

The entire game premise as well as graphics looks pretty damn cool. The water/reflection/fire effects are first class.

Not the sort of game that interests me perse (because I absolutely suck at anything that requires aiming), but I must admit that from a technical standpoint it looks amazing.

2 in 1 computers are problems. Best to get a laptop for regular net surfing. Best to get a rig only for gaming these days.

2 in 1s are great ... for the right reasons. Planes, reading articles, etc where you don't want the bulk of a laptop to do things, but want a full keyboard for typing up things. Many corporates use them as it gives employees best of both worlds.

All depends on your budget, there are some very decent laptops around these days, without going full gaming.

Just avoid brands like Acer and Lenovo and you should be sweet. Dell I never used to like but they've pulled their fingers out in recent times. MSI are mainly gamer focussed.

ASUS and HP are my go to brands generally. ASUS offer good price vs performance, whereas HP (and don't get their cheap Pavilions/home range) make some of the best gear on the market. Elitebooks and Probooks are bloody awesome and covered by 3 years warranty.

Both HP and ASUS in Sydney have excellent after sales service.

Ok calling on @spiritofaslan and @Hacky McAxe on this one.

So yesterday I dug out an old HP 2570P laptop that I acquired years ago. This thing came with Windows 7, and ran like a beast. Over the years (as you'd expect), I installed programs and apps and games etc... and it eventually go to the point that it was so slow it wouldn't work. More recently I upgraded it to Windows 10 thinking it would improve the performance, however, I was wrong. In fact with everything already installed on it, it only made it worse, almost unusable, so I left it. Now yesterday I got it out again and thought I'd wipe it clean and start again with windows 7, so I copied everything to a external hard drive, and reinstalled windows 7. Fine. I said today I'll reintsall all the drivers etc... then have it running smoothly again. Then I encountered this problem. I looked everywhere and couldn't find the drivers disk that has everything on it. I thought no problem, I'll connect to the internet. That's where the problem began. My Network wifi adapter driver isn't installed, neither is my Ethernet driver. I looked in the device manager, and there's no Network adapters section (as shown below).

The only thing I've managed to successful do is download the VGA driver to this laptop and install it on it - but I got no idea how to find out what Network adapter is installed on the machine.

Any ideas?

The ASUS ZenBook looks aesthetically pleasing, specs seem good enough while it feels pretty functional. Think I might get one of these..noticed some places are also selling them with a 3 year warranty.

Yh I don't think I need it, not like I'm going to be carrying it around and using a lot of the features...will probably just pointlessly smudge the screen lol
