It follows a report on Monday night that Seibold has become nervous of losing his job to former Brisbane great and Queensland State of Origin coach Kevin Walters.
Channel 9 reporter Danny Weidler told Nine’s 100% Footy, Seibold is “paranoid” about being replaced by Walters, despite the Broncos earlier this year announcing the former Rabbitohs coach’s job is safe until an end-of-season performance review.
“Anthony Seibold is going through some very difficult times at the moment with a personal family situation and he’s dealing with a lot of innuendo around that, unfairly in a lot of regards".
"However, on a professional front, he is paranoid to the back teeth about Kevin Walters. He thinks that Kevin Walters has got this huge uprising of support — the old boys. He will discuss that quite openly with people and say that he’s worried about that. Paul Green is obviously going to be firmly in the market to coach the Broncos, as we’ve discussed before."
“But I think for his own wellbeing, Anthony Seibold needs to leave the Broncos and probably as soon as possible, so he can get on with his own life, look after his family and move forward from there.”

Maybe, just maybe he's having some mental health issues as a result of said job concerns. I mean you wouldn't blame the guy if he's trying as hard as he can, players aren't putting in, and suddenly replacements are being named.
Did have to laugh though about Wiedler talking about "dealing with innuendo". The blokes talked made up shit in the past about players.

100%.. these types of rumours don't get out without somebody really pushing them.. Really seems like Seibold was doomed from the get go... poor bloke I reckon he'd be doing a better job with Souths than Bennett is
Seibs would do better as an Asst Coach where there isn't so much as a pressure on him.. or as coaching support staff.

I think his time at Souths was better because he was already with the club and was respected, hence them not wanting him to go.. There were people who did not want him at the Broncos to begin with, and I think the 5 years ruffled a few feathers... I mean it's not like he did any worse than Wayne's last year at the Broncs last year up until that semi... I just have a feeling that some of the old boys and Darius are getting to the younger players and the young players don't want to get off side because they know that it will be Seibold gone and everybody else will still be there
Seibold came out and said it's pretty shit no one from the nrl called him to see if he's OK. That's a legitimate complaint, IMO. His family was involved and it takes 2 minutes to make a phone call.
The nrl were happy to write a reference letter to a drink driving woman basher but not make a 2 minute call to a coach who has done nothing wrong.
