Unless it's Kevvy, who has the Bennett seal of approval, the incoming coach needs to piss Boyd right off as his first order of business

Sounds like he is still going after the trolls, not for civil charges, but rather criminal ones. Wants them held accountable.

Hope he succeeds.

I hope he legitimately has the evidence that he claims to have.. and it's not just trying to flush them out..

Dickheads in society need to understand there are lines you don't cross

apparently the players felt they weren't up to Seibs' game model so they got sooky over it... I dunno they looked good in the first 2 rounds.... some of them need to find another profession

I don't think it will happen due to legal reasons... or the fact there are no actual names
Possibly, but the rumours were so ridiculous I dare say whoever made them wasn't intelligent to begin with and didnt think they'd get caught.

Or maybe they did that intentionally to make it seem like it was just internet trolls

Anthony Seibold has lodged an official complaint with police in a bid to bring charges against those responsible for spreading rumours about him.

Seibold formally made the smear campaign a police matter on Monday in the hope the source of the material can be identified. The police are now in possession of a report that was produced for Seibold by cybercrime experts and was also handed to the NRL’s integrity unit. Police are expected to interview Seibold as part of their inquiries.

Sources with knowledge of the situation have told the Herald that the report identified three social media accounts of interest. The cybercrime experts weren’t able to identify the person behind one of them, while another has links to high-profile people within rugby league.

Now that it is a police matter, the NRL’s integrity unit won’t launch a concurrent investigation. However, Rugby League Central has the power to act if it is proven that registered participants were the source of, or disseminated, the scandalous material.

If the matter ends up before the courts, the names of those involved would become public. Much will depend on the veracity of the information the cybercrime experts were able to obtain and what police can unearth.

"Given it’s a police matter, I’m not in a position to comment," Seibold’s lawyer, Dave Garratt, said.
