Seen an a380 tmake of from Sydney today headed for the boneyard in USA. Going to be weird not seeing any Qantas a380s for the next 3 years

I managed the Gate 8 build for Qantas at International terminal to suit the A380s.
I used to always park near them (I had a hectic car spot at the Airport). I might still have a video of it rocking up to the gate and it coming at me (slowly ofcourse but still hectic).
Also been on it when I went to Dubai, my favourite plane by far. It will be missed

Yeah, I can't see them coming back especially if Qantas actually take delivery of their A350-1000s.

Air France has completely retired all of theirs and there's rumours Emirates is retiring 40% of their A380s.

My cousin works for Rex at Sydney airport. He told me they've bought/leased 10 737s from Virgin and will start using them next March.

Gonna be weird seeing a Rex livery on such a "big" plane.

In the antonov factory I was in communication to book a tour and sim .the qantas 737 at Syd airport is $1200 the antonov at factory a few hundred $$$
