If we lose CHN over this, because our club kicked off prematurely, heads need to roll.

Elliott, CHN, Thompson, To'omaga, RFM is a bloody decent second row/lock rotation (and that's before you count Jackson when in form). Okunbor I can take or leave, but he probably offers more than Crichton and Holland.

Also the more I hear of Abdo and Vlandys, the less convinced I am that either are right for the jobs.

I absolutely agree with this.
We should’ve backed the players in this situation. De-registration was manifestly unfair. Everyone could see this was going to be overturned.
If we lose players over this, someone needs to pay.

Why is this even a problem? Okunbor and chn fucked up NRL threw them out, Then NRL cleared them, now there back at the dogs and they want to leave?
If they don’t want to be here then fuck off and go sook to another club.
We have bigger problems than them 2.

The club and the nrl handled this situation EXTREMELY poorly. It's evident the corrupt Nrl are notorious when it comes to punishing practically anything Canterbury does but our club should have stood by the players. "yes, our players broke the rules and they will be punished" is along the lines of what should have been said.

There are actual criminals, an entire laundry list of woman bashers, drink drivers, pill poppers, sexual assaulters (is that a word?), drug dealers/traffickers and people who threaten the lives of a cowering mother and her child. But for THIS to be deregistered? Massive, MASSIVE over reaction by the nrl and our cockless administration. Should have never happened.

I agree NRL was harsh but our club had no choice but to report them. Our club would’ve copped it either way imagine our club tried to hide it guess what happens.

Our club was happy to go along with things, and from (what I can tell of) the timeline our club acted first to sack them/stand them down indefinitely, then reported it to the NRL, who issued show cause notices to both players. Following show cause notices, then NRL then deregistered them.

So our club sacked them?
Then why are they back at the club if they Broke the rules?
Doesn’t make sense.

NRL deregistration was overturned so their previous contracts were reinstated. Or at least Dogs stood them down for good, and NRL deregistration meant contracts were not valid.

Who knows but seems the club are going to allow them to decide.

Something doesn’t add up if the club stood them down and NRL terminated there contract then that on NRL, but if the club stood them down for good it shouldn’t matter what NRL does they don’t belong to us as they broke club behaviour conduct which I think is in there contract.

I don't know mate, just going on what the media reported and the timeline it was reported.

From what I can tell the board went off half cocked and stood them down for a claimed breach of the code of conduct. Before they could challenge that the NRL deregistered them.

NRL then reinstated them, meaning the NRL punishment overrules any club sanctions. If the NRL is deemed by a high court judge that they can't deregister them for a breach of NRL code of conduct, theres no chance in hell our club can.

I'm wondering if this bloke knows that he did he business more harm than good. If he had his companies logo on our jersey, then it's being advertised... however know, people are none the wiser, and it's unlikely any Bulldogs fans will ever eat there again.
Tried to communicate that point at the time this happened on social media, he blocked me for my efforts.
Enough said, cunt's a douchebag.
