Only if he admits his part and offers the club, his teammates and most of all, us fans and sponsors a genuine apology.

Dean Ritchie, The Daily Telegraph - July 20, 2020 9:14am

Canterbury is expected to meet with reinstated Bulldogs forward Corey Harawira-Naera on Monday over the Kiwi international’s future at Belmore.

Harawira-Naera remains disgruntled at having his contract terminated by the Bulldogs over a pre-season drama involving teenage girls in Port Macquarire.

Canberra has expressed a strong interest back-rower Harawira-Naera should he quit the Bulldogs. It’s understood that if he leaves Canterbury, Harawira-Naera could join Ricky Stuart’s side immediately.

News Corp understands Canberra would target fellow Bulldogs forward Adam Elliott for next season should they miss signing Harawira-Naera. It would appear either way the Raiders will go after one of the two Bulldogs.

The situation presents an enormous challenge for incoming Canterbury coach Trent Barrett who would no doubt want to retain both forwards.

Raiders officials were uncontactable this morning.

Harawira-Naera not ready
Despite being eligible to return to play this week, Corey Harawira-Naera won't be back on the paddock in round 11. The Bulldogs forward held initial talks with Bulldogs hierarchy on Friday and will continue discussions this week. The back-rower has been training on his own and may be a few weeks away from being fit enough to return, regardless of whether that's at Canterbury.

---------------

Let's be honest, it's all media guess work. The meeting happened Friday according to some reporters, and Ritchie claims today.

He has a contract with us till the end of 2022 and he should honour it. Shake hands, apologise for being a moron, and get on with the job you get paid to do.

If the Raiders want CHN it's simple: Straight swap for Josh Hodgson, Elliott Whitehead, or George Williams or you can fuck off.

Almost seems like a manager pushing an agenda via the media here. Or Raiders using the media to push an agenda.

Okunbor was running over the top of players on kick returns last season, if he can sort his hands out he will be good value on the wing.

Unless CHN admits guilt and publicly demonstrates remorse via seeking atonement for his actions, he can fuck off IMO.
I hope Barrett doesn't coach next year or goes over to England, so CHN's manager has to eat his words that CHN will only play under Barrett now.
Feel for Kiwi's having to be associated with this dropkick!

Side note: CHN has removed all traces of our club from his Instagram page. Has Panthers and international photos up there.

That said maybe he did the purge out of anger a while back.

Apparently did.
Still low that he's not at least apologised to his supposed fans for the poor example he set.

I know, but we should have used our leverage (ball was in our court) to get Williams, Whitehead or Hodgson in exchange.

Now we have nobody and have lost an elite ballplaying second rower.

This is what happens when you talk shit and try to pander to an organisation that evidently hates you to try and sound tough. We just lost our most skilfull forward and got a fat dick in our unlubed ass in return.

When they fuck will ANYONE at Canterbury grow some fucking balls and not give a fuck like practically every other club in the game? There are actual criminals, drug dealers, a million and one woman bashers and people who sexually assault women in the game but we want to play tough with someone who did nothing illegal?

Fucking soft cock, pussy cunts. Grow some balls for once.

FFS, they really released him for nix?
Why oh why did they not force his hand with the current contract?
FUCK CHN as well for fucking over his employer, his teammates and most of all, his fans.
I hope they're blasting the living shit out of him on his social media accounts.

What an absolute joke.
If people are still not sure of the level of ineptitude within our executive level, this shows bare how lacking we are.

By the sounds of it CHN has gone toxic. We can't have someone stinking up the dressing room heading into 2021. We need to be united if we're going to have a good campaign.

If Okunbor stays he provides competition for spots with DWZ & Smith at risk of getting dropped.
