A lot of neutrals are whinging in favour of Parra but 50/50s went both ways and at the end of the day, Penrith kept their line in tact and only conceded a try to a bomb that Edwards lost in the lights.. both teams were good so it is what it is

I still can’t work out how Penrith got a free interchange when they used up all the bench.

My concerns are that Luai looks off his game and that means Storm can go harder after Nathan. We will see but, Storm might get complacent
Massive test for Cleary as a coach, to learn from the mistakes of their last game against Storm, and also how Storm shut down Tommy Turbo.

Hate to say this but I hope it’s a Penrith V South’s GF 😢
I won't mind a Manly vs Penrith grand final. Never happened either which is interesting.

Penrith have to ambush the Storm and get on top early.. don't allow Melbourne to get into any rhythm.. those two playing each other is a good thing for Souths/Manly as their game will more likely be a points fest than a slog

Totally agree. Tricky thing with Melb as they don't have many weak points across the field.

Paps is super safe undre high ball, their ourside backs fairly reliable too under pressure/bombs. If anything I'd say the key to beating Storm is hammering Jarome Hughes and smothering Munster. Shut them down and they can't play across the field. Then its trying to stay close until they bring Hynes in.

I'd be going hard after Grant as well.. one of his flaws is trying too hard when his team is on the back foot and he can come up with an error or two.. plus he's known to miss tackles when under fatigue

Wonders if Milford will be on the outer at souths now after his recent episodes They may regret letting their half back go to the Broncos now.

One of my biggest concerns for Penrith in regards to winning a premiership with the current squad is that they're still failing to tame Kikau.. he's obviously a quality player but can make his fair share of blunders in big games.. You don't see these problems with Bellyache.. I mean you have players at Melbourne who do the odd bonehead sh*t, but they generally get it right in big games.

you are right I watched all of the Penrith game and on at least three occasions he had brain explosions and almost cost them the game

He also had a shocker against Souths.. They should have got that sorted after the GF... He's just one of those players who makes you nervous when he has the ball in desperate situations.

Exactly presses the panic button and gives impossible passes away. One thing that did impress me was junior pangai with his hard running forward in attack and then ball distribution without always getting caught in possession . Barret to make a note to put someone trailing him all the time when he joins us next year

Yeah I've noticed TPJ is getting better at knowing when to pass and when to go to ground with the ball.. that's a problem for many players... We definitely got him at the right time as he is about to hit his prime. The fact he can look good in a stacked side just shows he is a class player.

That's it.. I suspect Burton will be waiting out the back to send it along or go himself when holes appear.

He doesn't have that play in his playbook, so the players are not allowed to execute it :/

I don't give Manly any chance tonight, they haven't shown great resolve imo and now their edges are weaker as Suli comes in for Parker. I also don't take the Roosters game into consideration as Easts were done before a ball was kicked. Souths 13+
