This looks pretty batshit crazy

So much confusion, so many questions lol..

I like the idea but seems like they tried to do too much. If it was a FPS style game with oldies, crossed with like Bum Simulator, in an open world it could have been amazing.

Hard pass on Dirt5.... they've lost their way again. Apparently the last one was "okay" but strayed from its rally roots more into arcade.

Well you didn't need to spend that much just for internet browsing. You could get something that would do that job for 1/3 of that price mate.
Absolutely. I'm going to JB in a couple of hours and going to see what the store manager can do for me, should give a hefty discount on a few products.

RTX 3090 supporting Nvidia Dual SLi... yeah and you'll need to take out a second mortgage just to afford them.

350w power draw is pretty demanding, I'd expect that means minimum of probably 600w PSU to run one.

I'm set. I upgraded to an 850w psu recently. Didn't need that much power but wanted to get a good modular power supply. The 750w was $200 and the 850w was on sale for $140. Easy choice.

The specs were slightly off. It looks like the 3070 is faster than the 2080 Ti. The 3080 will be up to twice the speed of a 2080 and the 3090 is a ridiculous super beast that can apparently run any existing game at 8k 60 fps.

The prices are the same as the release prices of the 2000 series so the estimated Australian release prices are:

3070 - $850
3080 - $1199
3090 - $2250

The cards will be released worldwide on 17th September

Digital Foundry were provided cards for full testing. Here's their benchmarks

Nvidia has confirmed Australian prices:

3070 - $809
3080 - $1,139
3090 - $2,429

Tjr 3090 is the replacement for the RTX Titan. It's insane performance for gaming if you want to spend that much, but it's mainly aimed at content creators and game designers.

Considering that the RTX Titan is around $5k, that price ain't bad.

OK, those prices aren't as bad as I thought they'd be.

I still can't decide on a laptop, the cheaper non gaming ones feel and look shitty, the slightly more expensive gaming ones look better but I feel they're too bulky and will probably be loud as fuck at 2am when I'm watching Liverpool play because I'm too lazy to get out of bed...and everything else just feels like a waste of money and way more than I need to spend.

Didn't mind the look of the MSI Prestige, didn't look or feel cheap and seems to have decent reviews...costs between 2200-2700 from memory and is probably overkill for what I need but it felt like something I could be happy with lol.

There was also this thing that was cheap and looked okayish in person I guess, not much available in terms of reviews because it's some Chinese/Taiwan laptop that Tongfang? Make and sell to cunts that just rebrand it?

Anyway I have a MacBook pro that should keep me going until I decide to finally buy something or kickback for some sales. Tablet connected with my knee last night for being a cunt so that's finally done for.

That's actually pretty reasonable for the performance bump. Be interesting to see how much stores sell them for though.

In theory that should drop 2080Ti pricing to maybe $500 or below when the 3000s land.

Imagine having the cash to run 2 x RTX 3090s "just because" :D

If you aren't into gaming or the latest graphics, an Elitebook will do you fine. Light, decent performance, well made, and decent warranty.

HP Store have 20% off some models at the moment for Fathers Day sales.

@Howard Moon we've finally found someone that figured out what a tablet is good for!

I didn't like the HPs all that much when I saw them in person. I think I have narrowed down what I need..

1. Fast as fuck (will end up like tablet if not)
2. Good as fuck screen
3. Not fucking loud
4. Doesn't look or feel like cheap plastic
5. Will last long
